In July, the renowned analysis company Gartner released an updated version of their Market Guide for Workforce Management Applications.
The guide provides an overview of 22 vendors and describes the functionality, geographic localization, industry specialisms as well as partnerships and integrations. We are included in the guide again this year with our ProMark solution.
We are, of course, glad to be among the Workforce Management suppliers that Gartner mentions in their report, says Torkel Olrik, CEO of ProMark.
Help to navigate in the landscape of Workforce Management solutions
Purchasing, expanding or replacing a Workforce Management solution is typically not an easy decision for management in larger companies. First and foremost, it requires a favourable business case.
We still find that many companies use spreadsheets or other manual processes to keep track of hours, tasks, and for staff roster planning purposes. This is not only time consuming, but can also result in errors. Thus, there are often great savings in automating these processes. This means that the investment in a Workforce Management solution often can be recouped quickly.
However, it may be quite time consuming to map the many types of solutions and suppliers in the market. According to Gartner, the market for workforce management is fragmented and complex.
The guide can therefore be very helpful for companies who need to navigate in the landscape of Workforce Management solutions. Once companies have identified their business-critical needs and wishes, the guide can help narrow down the field to 3-4 potential suppliers.
Many companies are in a dilemma about choosing a Workforce Management solution, says Torkel Olrik. Hence, we more and more often see that companies use Gartner’s reports as part of their evaluation and decision-making process.
